Welcome to Local Yokle, a blog devoted to patronizing locally owned and managed businesses in the greater Madison area. Each week I'll prospect the region for exciting stores, eateries and seasonal happenings. I am excited to start this blog for two reasons. First, because I've always wanted to start a blog. Second, I now have an excuse to eat, shop and explore without guilty feelings.
I just want to make it clear that the traditional phrase is "local yokel". This name was already in use, so I changed the spelling using my creative license. So now, I'm a yokle.

Very creative site to give some insight on ongoings around town. I, of course being German and a native of Wisconsin love beer, so this appealed to me. I like your style of writing. It really puts me there. I don't like to be a critic but the light blue text is a little hard to see on screen, but the overall blog looks good.
